Pranav Anand and Divya Deshmukh set to lead the Indian charge at World Junior 2024

GM Abhimanyu Mishra (USA) and IM Divya Deshmukh are the top seeds at FIDE World Junior Open and Girls 2024. The highest rated Indian in the Open section will be GM Pranav Anand. The total prize fund is €10000. The top three prizes are €3000, €2000 and €1000 along with a medal and trophy in the Open. For Girls, they are €2000, €1250 and €750 along with a medal and trophy each. Fourth to tenth place will receive a trophy each. Then there was a Q&A session of Vishy Anand with players, parents and coaches in presence of Gujarat's first GM Tejas Bakre, the state's second GM Ankit Rajpara, India's fourth GM in history - Abhijit Kunte, Dev and others.
