26th Asian Youth R3-4: Narayani, Bijesh, Aadik and Velavaa make a perfect start

Narayani Umesh Marathe, Bijesh Divi, Aadik Theophane Lenin and CM Velavaa Ragavesh are the four Indians at 4/4. The first three are coleaders in Under-8 Girls, Under-10 Girls and Under-12 Open category. Velavaa has emerged sole leader in Under-16 Open. Ajay Santhosh Parvathreddy held the top seed of Under-18 Open, IM Aldiyar Ansat (KAZ) to a draw in the fourth round. Kazakhstan's first and only female to become a Grandmaster, Zhansaya Abdumalik made the ceremonial first move of the third round with WGM Gulmira Dauletova, Executive Director, Kazakhstan Chess Federation. Hriday Garg (1554), Sarbartho Mani (1733) and Kavish Palaniappan K (1551) - all three are at 3/4 each. Hriday lost the fourth game, Sarbartho bounced back well by winning both games on the double round day. Kavish lost his third round battle.

Narayani Umesh Marathe (1416) continues her perfect run. In the fourth round, she defeated the top seed Asena Golizadeh (IRI, 1561) to maintain her lead with Qinran Chen (CHN, 1451). She had defeated Asena in the final round of Rapid too. Nakshatra Gumudavelly is undefeated at 3/4.
