India wins nine medals at 26th Asian Youth Rapid 2024
11/06/2024 - India is off to a great start at 26th Asian Youth Chess Championships 2024. In the Rapid event, the kids won four individual medals - three Gold and a Silver. Narayani Umesh Marathe scored an unbeaten 6/7 to clinch Gold in Under-8 Girls. Pooja Shree R made 6/7 to win Gold in Under-10 Girls. Pratitee Bordoloi scored 6.5/7, remained undefeated and claimed the Gold medal convincingly. Siddhanth Poonja scored 6/7 to secure the Silver medal in Under-12 Open. Narayani and Pratitee became clear champions. Both of them remained invincible. In total India has won nine medals - four individual and five team. They all have chances to win more medals.
