Bluebaum and Donchenko maintain the lead
Leon Mendonca once again maintained his composure and made sure that he doesn't make any mistake against IM Daniel Dardha. The game ended up in a draw after moves were repeated in a Double Rook, Bishop and many pawns endgame. Luigi had a tame draw against Fier after 65-move long battle. GM Thai Dai Van Nguyen scored the sole victory of the round against IM Ashot Parvanyan when the latter had to give up material to stop his opponent's attack. Bluebaum and Donchenko had an uneventful draw.

How would you like to continue here as white? Computer says 35.Qa3 which I kind of do not like because of the f4-threat looming large. Leon made a very humane choice of 35.h3, followed by the exchange of queens in the next move.
