Ram Vishal's first rating tournament victory in 2024
Ram Vishal Parab scored eight wins in-a-row 8/8. FM Nikhil Dixit was the sole player trailing him by a half point at 7.5/8. Ram needed a draw to win the tournament. However, he went for a win and got the full point to become the champion with a 100% score of 9/9. Paras Dilip Bhoir and Ankur Mahesh Gokhale defeated CM Vedant Nitin Vekhande and Arvind Iyer to secure second and third place respectively.

A total of 692 players took part from all over the country and one from the USA in this one-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament. It was organized by Mr. Nandakumar T V at Agri Koli Sanskriti Bhavan in Nerul, Maharashtra on 31st March 2024. The time control of the event was 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move.
