Neel's first rating tournament of his career
Mehul Tandel, Kathit Nikhil Shelar, Palaash Suyog Mapara, Neel Prakash Nankani, Arnav Ashish Thatte and Shravana Agraval were the leaders at 8/10, heading into the last round. Neel defeated Mehul to become the champion. Arnav drew against Kathit and the latter secured second place. Shravana shared the point with Palaash who finished third.

Neel Prakash Nankani scored 9/11, finished a half point ahead of the competition and gained 68 Elo rating points
A total of 257 players including a GM took part from various parts of India, one each from South Africa, USA and Zambia. The six-day eleven round Rating Open tournament was organized by Nandakumar T Vijayamma at Shree Siddhi Marriage Hall in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra from 23rd to 28th December 2025. The time control of the event was 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
