GM Mitrabha Guha and IM Kaustuv Kundu were the coleaders 7.5/8 each, heading into the last round. They drew their final round game against each other. Mitrabha became champion and Kaustuv third. GM Abhimayu Puranik defeated IM Kushagra Mohan to secure second place.

A total of 226 players including four GMs, three IMs and a WGM took part from various parts of India and one from the USA. The one-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by Morde Foundation at Jeevan Mangal Karyalaya in Pune, Maharashtra on 26th February 2025. The time control of the event was 10 minutes + 5 seconds increment from move no.1.
