IM Bhakti Kulkarni scored 7/9 to win Brno Open - A IM Round Robin 2024, 13th International Chess Festival part of Czech Tour 2024. FM Jan Marn (SLO) scored 6.5/9 to secure second place. IM IO FT Petr Pisk (CZE) scored 6.5/9 to be placed third. Bhakti's sole loss of the event was against the eventual runner-up, Jan, the highest rated player in the field. The top three prizes were CZK 3000 + trophy, 2000 and 1000 each. The eight-day nine-round, round-robin rating tournament was organized by AVE Chess z.s. at Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum hotel**** in Brno, Czech Republic from 16th to 23rd November 2024. A total of 10 players including three IMs took part from eight countries across the world in this eight-day nine round Round Robin Rating tournament. It was organized by AVE Chess z.s. at Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum hotel **** in Brno, Czech Republic from 16th to 23rd November 2024. The time control of the event was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
