Last-minute replacement, Germany no.4 Dmitrij Kollars defeated Daniel Fridman to win NC World Masters 2022. Both Kollars and defending champion, Vishy Anand scored 3.5/6 each. However, Kollars won the tournament on tie-breaks as the scored one more win than the maestro. WGM Priyanka Nutakki delivered a strong performance at the NRW Women's Cup. She scored four wins, three draws and suffered two losses to finish with 5.5/9, a half point behind the winner and runner-up. Germany's FM Lara Schulze and IM Zoya Schleining secured the top two places scoring 6/9 each.
29.Nxf7 is a fantastic tactical shot as 29...Qxf7 is met by 30.Qe5+ and 29...Kxf7 30.Qc7+. Black played 29...Rf8 30.Ng5 Rf8 31.Qxf8+ is another tactical blow for Black, the loss of exchange cannot be avoided. 31...Kxf8 32.Nxh7+ and it's all over. This was a nice finish by WGM Priyanka Nutakki.
