GM Hagen Poetsch (GER) and IM Rathanvel V S were the coleaders 5/6, heading into the final round. Hagen drew with Antal Mimkes (GER) and Rathanvel also shared the point against Bernd Goeke. Deniz Klein (GER) lost to IM Soham Das. Rathanvel became champion, Hagen second and Soham third. The tournament witnessed a total participation of 63 players - 41 in Group A (>1600) and 22 in Group B (<1700).

A total of 41 players including a GM and two IMs took part from all over Germany, India and Ukraine in Group A (>1600) in this four-day nine round Rating Open tournament. It was organized by Schachverein Reichenbach and ChessxDream at Heidenberghalle in Lautertal-Gadernheim from 17th to 20th October 2024. The time control of the event was 40 moves in 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move.
