Aayiu Atindrya Shetty wins Munich Youth Under-12 Rating 2025
Aayiu Atindrya Shetty and Mustafobek Abdugofurov (UZB) scored an unbeaten 6/7 to win Munich Youth Under-12 Rating 2025 part of 3rd Munich Chess Festival. Aayiu won the tournament due to better tie-breaks. Mustafobek secured second place. Bruno Dankic (GER), Vincent Paffrath (GER) and Oscar Chenhao Zhong (GER) scored 5/7 each. They were placed third, fourth and fifth according to tie-breaks. The prizes were cups for the top three finishers and best girl of each age group. The four-day seven round Under-12 Rating tournament was organized by Richard Holzberger at Gymnasium Moosach in Munich, Germany from 9th to 12th June 2025. Aayiu's first rating tournament victory of his career
Aayiu Atindrya Shetty and Mustafobek Abdugofurov (UZB) were coleaders 5.5/6 heading into the final round. Aayiu drew against Oscar Chenhao Zhong (GER) to become the champion. Mustafobek also drew versus Darsh Agarwal (GER) to finish second. Aakarshan Jena (GER) lost to Bruno Dankic (GER) and the latter secured third place.
A total of 27 players took part from Albania, Germany, India, Singapore, Turkiye and Uzbekistan. The four-day seven round Under-12 Rating tournament was organized by Richard Holzberger at Gymnasium Moosach in Munich, Germany from 9th to 12th June 2025. The time control of the event was 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move no.1.
