Nubairshah Shaikh wins Satish Anna Rapid Rating Open 2025
IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh, IM Ameya Audi, IM Ravi Teja S, IM Srijit Paul, IM Suyog Wagh, IM Nitish Belurkar and Shriraj Bhosale scored 8/9 each at Satish Anna Rapid Rating Open 2025. Nubairshah won the tournament on tie-breaks. The remaining six were placed second to seventh respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund was ₹400000. The top three prizes were ₹100000, ₹50000 and ₹25000 along with a trophy each. The two-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by Satish Anna Fans Club at Mahaveer Bhawavn in Belagavi, Karnataka on 25th and 26th October 2025. This is Nubairshah's fifth tournament triumph of the year.

IM Ameya Audi made a perfect start by winning eight games in-a-row. He was a full point ahead of a dozen players before the final round. IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh defeated FM Joydeep Dutta to become the champion. Ameya lost to IM Nitish Belurkar to secure second place. IM Ravi Teja S won against IM Nikhil Dixit to finish third.
A total of 590 players including two GMs and nine IMs took part from various parts of the country. The two-day nine round Rapid Rating Open tournament was organized by Satish Anna Fans Club at Mahaveer Bhawavn in Belagavi, Karnataka on 25th and 26th October 2025. The time control of the event was 25 minutes + 5 seconds increment per move.
