TCF and MMM invite you to 8th Mersin Metropolitan Municipality International Open 2024 in Turkiye
Turkish Chess Federation and Mersin Metropolitan Municipality invites you to 8th Mersin Metropolitan Municipality International Chess Touranment 2024. The eighth edition is offering a total prize fund of Turkish Lira 682000. The prize fund in Category A is 460500, the top three prizes being 10000, 80000 and 50000 along with a medal each. A total of 8 GMs, 7 IMs and a WGM have registered from eleven countries across the world. Entry fee is Turkish Lira 250. GM titled players will be evaluated and answered by the organization if they submit full board accommodation requests tournament director. Full board accommodation for 15 GM titled players will be covered by the organization. GM Karthik Venkataraman won the last edition. The next one could be you. Venue, Dates, Entry fee and Eligibility
The tournament will take place at Ataturk Cultural Center in Mersin, Turkiye from 10th to 16th November 2024. The tournament has four categories. Entry fee is 250 Turkish Lira in all categories. Check the image below for more details.

Prizes
The total prize fund is Turkish Lira 682000. The total prize fund in Category A is Turkish Lira 460500, top three prizes are 100000, 80000 and 70000. The total prize fund in Category B is Turkish Lira 40500, the top three prizes are 20000, 18000 and 16000. The total prize fund in Category C is Turkish Lira 56000, the top three prizes are 10000, 8000 and 7000. The total prize fund in Category D is Turkish Lira 25000, the top three prizes are 6000, 5000 and 4000. The top three winners in each category will receive medals.
