1st Mayors Cup International GM tournament

The Malwanchal Chess Club, in collaboration with All Indore Chess Association invites you to participate at the 1st Mayors Trophy International GM tournament which will be held at Indore from 1st-8th April 2023. This will be a 10-round Swiss event, with a  90+30 time control. The total prize fund for the tournament is a huge 33 Lakhs!

Prizes

The event has a huge prize pool - the winner will receive a total of Rs. 3,00,000 and a trophy! Apart from that, there are lots of category prizes for various rating ranges,  Madhya Pradesh players, Specially abled players, junior players and veterans. There are 3 unique awards to be given as well - Best game award, Best dress award, and best foreign player award!

Schedule

The Opening ceremony as well as the first round will take place on 1st April 2023. There are 2 days with double rounds - 2nd April and 4th April. For the final day, the round will start from 10 AM, and the prize distribution ceremony will start from 4 PM IST.

IDA Cup International Open Chess Tournament – 2023 (U-1800)

Along with the star-studded GM Chess event, the Malwanchal Chess Club and All Indore Chess Association is also holding an U-1800 event, the Indore International Chess Challengers Trophy 2023. The total prize fund of the event will be R. 12 Lakhs, running from 3rd-6th April 2023. The time control of the event is 60 minutes + 30 second increment on each move.

The Indore Challengers Trophy will feature great competition among U-1800 players from India and beyond!

Prizes

There are lots of prizes being distributed in different rating categories - 1401-1800 and Unrated-1400. The first prize is Rs. 1,25,000!

Venue

The venue for the tournament is the Emerald Heights International School in Indore. It's a beautiful, big school campus where both the GM Open and the Challengers Trophy would be held!

A special announcement

As many of you might already know, we have opened the 2nd ever ChessBase India Chess Club in Indore, at the Phoenix Citadel Mall. Every Saturday from 5-7 PM, the chess club is in session! During the tournament, 1st April and 8th April are two Saturdays when the Chess Club will be held. After the round ends, we invite all the players to come and visit the chess club!

We organize tournaments there regularly, and there are just normal playing sessions as well! Do come visit, you will enjoy it!
