ECCC R3: Arjun Erigaisi defeats his former coach Mikhalevski, helps Alkaloid win the match

Arjun Erigaisi defeated his former coach, Viktor Mikhalevski to complete his hat-trick at 39th European Club Chess Cup 2024. Mikhalevski went for an ambitious attack which did not work out. The win helped Arjun's team, Alkaloid win the match against Beer Sheva Chess Club. D Gukesh conceded his first draw of the event against Rauf Mamedov. Gukesh was lost at one point. However, he managed to save the game. R Praggnanandhaa finally scored his first win here, against Vugar Asadli. Leon Luke Mendonca held Vidit Gujrathi to a draw. However, Leon's team Vados Chess Club still went down by 3.5-2.5 against Novy Bor Chess Club. Nihal Sarin scored a fantastic win over Tomas Kraus.
