Games in action

Although the initial idea of promoting Freestyle Chess came from me, Mr. Kailasanathan ( Microsense) was one of the first to come forward and support the event wholeheartedly.

He has contributed greatly to Indian chess over the years. Long ago, he brought former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik and Grandmaster Boris Gelfand to Chennai to coach Indian chess prodigies, and he has also supported many international players. He contributed to making India a Chess Power

His immediate support and encouragement for this Freestyle Chess event means a lot to me. People like him, who genuinely believe in supporting chess and young talent, help new ideas grow into reality.

- CM FI Mr. S.C. Subramaniam, Secretary All India Freestyle Chess Association

Microsense is a company that has powered chess in India for over 8 years now. ChessBase India spoke with the managing director of Microsense, Mr. S. Kailasanathan, who was the state champion of Tamil Nadu in 1972. Get to know the Microsense story and why it does so much for chess and the chess players.
