The most anticipated clash of the 46th FIDE Olympiad fell in favour of Uzbekistan as they defeated the defending champions in the 6th round. Now Uzbekistan are clear favourites to win this Olympiad, and India needs to bounce back against England after a rest day.
Board 1: Nodirbek Abdusattorov vs. R. Praggnanandhaa (0.5-0.5)
On the top board, Praggnanandhaa drew against Abdusattorov with the black pieces.
Board 2: Arjun Erigaisi vs. Javokhir Sindarov (0.5-0.5)
Arjun had the white pieces against the World Championship Challenger Javokhir Sindarov, but he was not able to take any advantage, and the game ended in a draw.
Board 3: Nodirbek Yakubboev vs. Nihal Sarin (1-0)
The most important encounter of the day was between Nihal and Yakubboev. Nihal had a winning position, but things turned around so fast - one slip, and Nihal lost his Queen. In a matter of a few minutes, Nodirbek Yakubboev had a winning position.

Nihal had a great position and just had to move his king back to safety on g7, but he decided to recapture on g5 with his king, which ended his advantage.

Nihal made a quick move and played Nf5, which allowed a nice tactic from the white side. Yakubboev simply played Ne6+ Rxe6, gxh5, giving a discovered attack and winning the queen.
Board 4: D. Gukesh vs. Shamsiddin Vokhidov (0.5-0.5)
Gukesh drew against Shamsiddin. Gukesh had an extra pawn in the rook endgame, but it was not possible to convert it into an advantage.
