3rd Rail Wheel Factory International FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament 2017 will take place from 29th September to 3rd October 2017. Total Prize Money is ₹5 Lacs, consisting of 108 Cash Prizes and 152 Trophies. In 2016 we had 800 participants at the event. P. Shyaamnikhil won the tournament. This year also we have huge number of participants with some new innovations like Parents' tournament, demolisher prize and much more. Time Control: 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from move 1

First Prize in the Main category ₹70000 + Trophy, Perfect Score and Demolisher Bonus makes it a very interesting tournament

There are Special Prizes for Veteran, Women and Visually Challenged players

IM Antonio Viani D'Cunha is the top seed

GM R R Laxman who has won 5 tournaments this year including National Blitz 2017 will be one of the top seeds

IM Ravi Teja who won 50th Late Shri Babukaka Shirgaonkar Memorial early this year in Sangli will be seen in action

IM Rahul Sangma who won 2nd Adra Open and an open rating at Guwahati few months ago will also be among top seeds

After winning Mysore Rapid few months ago, IM D K Sharma will also join the top seeds

Rapid Chess Tournament for Parents:

A novel initiative by the organizers is the rapid tournament for parents.

Usually you have parents waiting in the tournament hall for their children and getting bored. Not any more! At 3rd RWF tournament, parents can indulge in chess and also win prizes!

• Maximum 4-5 Rounds with time control of 15 min + 10 sec increment

• Top 20 players will get a chance to play with an International Master in a simultaneous match

• Top 20 players will get 3 months of ChessBase Premium Account.

• The 3 best players from the simultaneous match will be chosen by the International Master will get surprise gifts.

• Entry Fees will be 100/-. The names will be registered on 29th September from 4:00pm onwards
