Going into the final round, IM Harsh Suresh and FM Shaik Sumer Arsh were co-leading the tournament with 7.5/8 points. On the top board, Harsh defeated Arsh to secure 1st place with a clear half-point lead over 3 players.
A total of 535 players from 5 different federations, including Canada, England, India, South Korea, and the USA, took part in this one-day FIDE-rated rapid tournament. 22 titled players took part in this tournament.
In the prize distribution function, Mr. Vijay Anand M, the tournament Director and Secretary of VACA, Mr. Gunasekaran K, Secretary, Tiruvallur DCA and Secretary, GCA, and Chief Arbiter of the tournament, IA, FI, FPE Bhaskar V, gave the prizes to the Winners.
