Win a Trip to Goa for the FIDE World Cup 2025!

The countdown to the FIDE World Cup 2025 in Goa has officially begun. In just two days, we will see the world’s best chess players fighting for glory right here on Indian soil! Total 206 players including 24 Indian players will take part in this much awaited event. On this occasion, we have an exciting news for Indian chess fans: You could also be part of the World Cup experience!

ChessBase India is collaborating with Chess.com India to launch the World Cup Fan Contest. On October 29, 2025, i.e., today, three exciting online Swiss events will take place exclusively for Indian players across different rating groups on Chess.com India Club. The winners of each event will earn an all-expenses-paid trip to Goa, including flights, accommodation, and exclusive passes to the World Cup venue!

What's at stake

Each event winner will receive:

  • Round-trip flight tickets to Goa

  • Two-night stay near the World Cup venue

  • Passes to the live World Cup show and access to the fan zone

Yes! Three lucky winners will get to experience the World Cup in person! They will feel the pulse of every game not from behind a screen this time, but right there in the hall.

How to join

  • The event will be hosted on the Chess.com India Club.

  • Join links will appear 60 minutes before each event starts.

  • Players rated below 800 can participate in all three events, while those with higher ratings can join their respective rating brackets.

Important conditions

1) Only Indian players are eligible for prizes.

2) Winners should be resident of India.

3) Every player must have already played at least 50 blitz games on Chess.com prior to the start of the event.

4) Each winner (Total 3 winners) will win round-trip flights to Goa from their city. Winners will also be getting a two nights stay as their prizes.

Winners will also be getting match day tickets to the playing hall and the fan zone to enjoy the live commentary on-site in Goa.

5) All games and events will be thoroughly checked for Fair Play violations from the Chess.com Fair Play team

6) Winners will be asked to submit their Government IDs for identification purposes.

7) Chess.com reserves the right to make any changes whenever necessary.

8) Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged with someone else.

9) All decisions taken by Chess.com will be final and binding.

10) Chess.com reserves the right of admission into the tournaments.
