One-sided Victory
Kaustuv dominated the field as he scored 7 consecutive wins, and a draw was enough in the final round for him to clinch the title. In the last round, he drew against Candidate Master Vinod Kumar Sharma of Chhattisgarh on the top board. On the 2nd board, Yashad Bambeshwar defeated Tanishk Kumar to secure 2nd place.
A total of 156 players from different parts of India took part in this classical FIDE rating Chess tournament. The total prize fund was ₹2,50,000, with the top 3 prizes of ₹50,000, ₹30,000 and ₹20,000, along with beautiful trophies.
The tournament was organized under the guidance of Collector Rohit Vyas with the support of AICF, CGSCA, and the District Chess Association. The entire tournament was successfully conducted under the leadership of Deputy Collector Vishwas Rao Muskey, President of the Organizing Committee.
