Two-day beginners' chess camp held at Jammu

All J and K Chess Association organized a two-day chess camp for beginners at Nek Hotel in Jammu on 24th and 25th January 2021. Atul Kumar Gupta, President of All J and K Chess Association and Joint Secretary of All India Chess Federation along with Vivek Bharti, reputed trainer of J&K, took the sessions to inculcate various aspects of the game. Two days chess camps organized by All J and K chess association for the beginners on 24th and 25th January 2021 at Nek Hotel Jammu. It was the first offline chess activity organized in Jammu division since the start of pandemic last year. Players from various districts of J&K participated in the different sessions. One of the highest reputed Trainer of J&K, former state champion and All India Inter University individual Gold medal (Board Prize) winner - Vivek Bharti gave various tips to beginners regarding various aspects of the game. Free chess software and guidance were also provided to learn the usage of the software to all the participants. The camp was inaugurated by Atul Kumar Gupta, President of All J and K Chess Association and also Joint Secretary of All India Chess Federation in the presence of Vice-President Baldev Raj.

Atul Kumar Gupta also gave wide range of information to players which is necessary to excel at higher levels of the game like physical fitness, yoga and meditation, proper diet, proper training and various other combinations of success. Various minute aspects of the game and career scope were explained to the participants. He also informed that AJKCA is soon going to start mega events in J and K just after Covid protocol.

After the suitable weather conditions, the same camps will be held in Kashmir division also. beginner players highly appreciated the information and software provided by the association. They also had lot of queries which were answered by the experts.

Atul Kumar Gupta is the President All J and K Chess Association and also the Joint Secretary All India Chess Federation. He has organized free basic chess training camps at various districts of J and K for thousands of youth including toughest border areas like Tangdhar He also organized more than 100 events in J and K including National Senior and South Asian Amateur. He organized a Mega Kashmir Chess Festival simultaneously in ten districts involving 10000 players.
