Shardul and Iniyan receive the Chess Olympiad Torch at Jaipur

The 42nd Grandmaster of India, Shardul Gagare received the Chess Olympiad Torch at Jaipur, Rajasthan and handed it to India's 61st GM Iniyan P. Shardul has won Gold and Bronze in Asian Youth events and Silver in Commonwealth Under-20. He has won the Riga Technical University Blitz Open 2019 and secured third place in Abu Dhabi Blitz Festival 2017. Iniyan has won 41st National Sub-Junior (Under-15), Gold in Commonwealth Under-14 and Under-18, Runner-up in 41st Barbera del Valles GM Open and Thailand Chess Festival 2019. On Wednesday 29th June 2022, The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of Rajasthan, Ashok Chandna received the Torch from India's 42nd GM Shardul Gagare and handed it over to India's 61st GM Iniyan P at Jaipur.
