New Delhi GP Round 7: Humpy halts Bibisara's winning streak

IM Bibisara Assaubayeva had her first draw of New Delhi GP 2023 in the seventh round. She offered a draw to the World no.2 GM Koneru Humpy in a position where computer says her opponent was better. IM Vaishali had her third consecutive draw of the event, this time against GM Harika Dronavalli. GM Nino Batsiashvili made a mistake in the opening, gave up her queen and arrived at a lost position in 15 moves against GM Aleksandra Goryachkina. GM Nana Dzagnidze suffered her third loss in seven games. The victor was GM Kateryna Lagno. WGM Zhu Jiner has emerged as the new sole leader 5/7. The final position where IM Bibisara Assaubayeva (KAZ, 2440) offered a draw and her opponent GM Koneru Humpy (2576) accepted, is quite advantageous for Black. In the post-game interview, Bibisara mentioned some noise being the reason behind her draw offer.
