IM Himal Gusain scored a perfect 5/5 to win 4th Weekend Matti per gli scacchi Open 2024. The top seed of the tournament finished a full point ahead of the competition. Three players - CM Federico Giammona (ITA), CM Giuseppe Ottavio Messina (ITA) and Federico Noto (ITA) scored 4/5 to secure second, third and fourth place according to tie-breaks. Himal defeated both eventual runners-up. The top three prizes were €100, €75 and €60 along with a trophy each. The three-day five round Rating Open tournament was organized by A S D Matti Per Gli  Scacchi at Matti Per Gli Scacchi in Palermo, Italy from 7th to 9th June 2024. Few days before this event, IM Himal Gusain won another tournament in Italy - 2nd Torneo Citta' Del Tricolore 2024. There also Himal scored a perfect 5/5 and increased his Elo rating by 4 points.
