Aravindh, Praggnanandhaa and Sahaj in the lead at the London Chess Open 2019

National Triple Crown champion GM Aravindh Chithambaram is the top seed of 11th CSC London Chess Classic 2019 Open. He is in the lead with a score of 3.0/3 along with eleven other players including two other Indians, Praggnanandhaa and Sahaj Grover. All three of them are vying for the top spot. The eleventh edition of tournament witnesses a total participation of 165 players including 15 GMs, 14 IMs, a WGM and a WIM from 35 different countries all over the globe. Indian trio make a strong start at London

11th CSC London Chess Classic Open started on 29th November 2019. National Triple Crown champion GM Aravindh Chithambaram is the top seed of the tournament. Along with him GM Praggnanandhaa R and GM Sahaj Grover are the other Indians who are in the lead with 3.0/3 at the conclusion of round 3.

Aravindh's most creative win came in the third round against IM Martin Percivaldi (2384) of Denmark.

Praggnanandhaa scored three clinical victories in three rounds. In round 3, he defeated IM Richard A Bates (2342) of England.

Total 165 players from 35 different countries including 15 GMs, 14 IMs, a WGM and a WIM are taking part in this 11th CSC London Chess Classic 2019 Open organized by Chess in Schools and Communities from 29th November to 6th December 2019 at Olympia Conference Centre, London.
