The biggest tournament in Central India is here. After organizing two successful editions in 2009 and 2016, Syna Open will take place for third time from the 1st to the 6th of May 2017 in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. With total 80 prizes and prize money of 5,51,000 (first prize - 1,00,000) there is a high chance that you will return with much more than just fond memories. Here is an invitation to the tournament with the ability to enroll yourself for the tournament.
Our tournament has only one motto: Provide the best conditions of play for the participants and give them an experience of a lifetime. In this respect we have introduced some new features at the Syna Open 2017 to ease your enrollment and participation process.
The tournament is held in the memory of Late Pandit Satyendra Pathak, a big force behind the tournament, who passed away when the last round of Syna Open 2016 was in progress

The tournament has a total prize fund of five lakh fifty one thousand rupees and is the highest in all of Central India

The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished. And yes, first 250 participants get free entry!
Syna Open was held for the first time in 2009 and GM Sriram Jha had won the first prize. Jha has already confirmed his participation for 2017 and will look to repeat his feat!
GM Swapnil Dhopade was the winner in 2016 and has already confirmed his participation as well
Along with the tournament there will be loads of supplementary events like ChessBase Workshop, chess films, and sessions imparting knowledge related to chess, nutrition and much more
