2016 Champions Showdown: Caruana, Naka, Anand, Topalov!

All eyes will be on the United States of America this November. Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton is the main news around the world, but not just that. Magnus and Karjakin will duke it out in Manhattan, but there is another exciting showdown on cards! St. Louis has truly become the center of the chess world with well-organized tournaments, unmatched coverage, and great chess.

The World Chess Championship will begin on 11th November 2016 in New York City, but before that, from 10 November...

...World No. 2 Fabiano Caruana, World No. 8 Hikaru Nakamura, five-time world champion Vishy Anand and former FIDE champion Veselin Topalov will play a grand Champions Showdown at St. Louis Chess Club.

The showdown will be held across three formats in a tournament style. This guarantees that the competition will be breakneck and it will never be over until it is over.

Over five days, the Players shall complete two Classical Round Robins (G/60 +5” delay), two Rapid Round Robins (G/15 +5” delay) and four Blitz Round Robins (G/3 +2” delay).
