Key Takeaways for Indian Players

Per confirmations from Chief Organizer Mr. Bhavesh Patel, two critical provisions significantly ease participation for Indian contenders:

  1. National Championship Pathway: Any Indian player who participated in the corresponding National Age Group Championship in the 2025–26 circuit is eligible to register as an additional player. Grandmasters (GM), Woman Grandmasters (WGM), International Masters (IM), and Woman International Masters (WIM) are exempt from national participation requirements.

  2. Self-Arranged Accommodation: While official contingents and international participants have designated hotel packages, Indian additional players are permitted to arrange their own stay and travel logistics. There is no mandate for Indian additional players to purchase official hotel packages.
