Now, imagine this man walking to the top table in the tournament where he is leading ahead of 4 established Indian international masters!

Nasir Ali Syed was born in 1936 in Uttar Pradesh and had won the National Championship at Pune in 1967 ahead of Manuel Aaron. His peak rating was 2385 (in 1983) and has beaten many grandmasters in his chess career!

 Mark Taimanov is a Soviet chess legend who has defeated almost all the top GMs of his era! Nasir Ali drew his game against him!
