Eight players share the lead after four rounds
Chess for Everyone, a classical FIDE-rated tournament, is currently underway in Kerala. The tournament is organised by Kerala's Premier Chess Academy with the vision of making competitive chess more accessible in the state. The event is special because it had no entry fee and no prize money! A total of 150 players registered for this tournament. So far, four rounds have been completed, and eight players remain in contention with a perfect score of 4/4. Among them, Dissanayake R K T currently leads the standings on tie-breaks, followed by Kiriakov Petr and Roy Chowdhury Saptarshi in second and third place respectively, also on 4/4.
