
Last-round win
Five players were co-leading the tournament with 7/8 points going into the final round. On the top board, Kolla Bhavan defeated Siva Adithyan S, and Kanishkaraj V won against Gokula Vishnu R to finish in the top 2.


The school's Joint Secretary inaugurated the tournament. Dr. M. Veeradas (School Correspondent), along with businessman Mr. S.V. Arul and Mr. Zakir Hussain, presided over the proceedings. Dr. Emerson Robin (Director, John Dewey Educational Group – Villupuram), Dr. Valentina Leslie (School Principal), Grandmaster Sando, Dr. V. Rathinam, Mr. A. Rajangam (President, Panruti Taluk Chess Association), and the Headmistress participated in the event and honored the winners. Mr. R. Pandian, founder of King Chess Academy, delivered the welcome address, while Mrs. Seetha Pandian proposed the vote of thanks.
