Top 3 finishers (L to R): 2nd Vaibhav Nema (Narsinghpur), 3rd Raghav Singh (Bhopal), and 1st WFM Cera Dagariya (Indore)

History created by top seed

Cera started the tournament as the top seed and scored 6 consecutive wins. In the 7th round, she lost to Vaibhav Nema and came back after defeating Utkarsh Agrawal in the final round to become Madhya Pradesh State Champion.

Cera also maintained her rating even after being the top seed

3rd place: Raghav Singh (Bhopal)

Editor's Note: For the last year, I have been looking at the progress of Raghav as I also live in Bhopal. He is super sharp and tricky. His achievement felt personal, and I went to the railway station to receive one of the brightest talents I have seen in recent times. This was also the 1st time an 8-year-old got selected for Senior Nationals from Madhya Pradesh. Hoping to see him achieve more and more!
