A total of 263 players, including 91 FIDE-rated players, participated in the tournament. Participants hailed from various districts of Assam. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Durga Prasad Gogoi, Principal of Namrup College, and Mr. R K Pancham Singh, Vice President of Dibrugarh District Chess Association.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Hemanto Gogoi, Vice Chairman of Assam Petrochemicals Limited, Laishram Imocha, Renown Chess player and Coach. Mr. Manik Ch. Gogoi, Secretary Dibrugarh District Chess Association, Mr. R K Pancham Singh, Vice President Dibrugarh district Chess association, Mr. Dharani Chetia, Secretary Namrup Anchalik Parents Group.
