The second round of the Dubai Police Open witnessed gripping clashes and notable achievements as players from around the world showcased their skills on the chessboard. In a standout performance, 45th seeded Indian Grandmaster Iniyan Pa held Iran's second seed, Amin Tabatabaei, to a draw on the top board. Alongside him, Visakh, N R, Pranesh M, and llamparthi A R also secured their second victories, adding to the thrill of the competition. Moreover, the World Women's Chess Champion, Ju Wenjun, joined the tournament in the second round, commencing her campaign with a resounding victory. Dubai Police Open: Iniyan Holds Amin to a Draw, Arvind Secures Second Win

In the second round of the Dubai Police Open, 45th seeded Grandmaster Iniyan Pa achieved a significant result by holding Iran's second seed, Amin Tabatabaei, to a draw on the top board.

Iniyan, who was playing with the white pieces, couldn't convert a winning endgame in the 82-move-long game in the Slav Opening

Meanwhile, eighth seeded Grandmaster Aravindh Chithambaram has demonstrated exceptional performance among the top 10 seeded players with two consecutive wins, making him the only player among the top ten seeds to secure a second victory.

Aravindh defeated compatriot Srihari L R, and on round 3 he is slated to play against Siddharth Jagadeesh of Singapore on the first board.

On the second and third boards, Vladislav Artemiev drew with Egypt's Adham Fawzy...

IM Ilamparthi A R defeated compatriot GM Diptayan Ghosh

India's top player in the tournament, S L Narayanan, had to settle for a draw for the second consecutive match, this time against Moldova's Jegor Lashkin

Among Indian players, IM P Shyaam Nikhil P achieved a significant victory by defeating Turkey's GM Mustafa Yilmaz

Women's World Champion Wenjun Ju, who couldn't participate in the first round, began her campaign by defeating Seyed Qian of Iran in the second round

Vasyl Ivanchuk and Martirosyan, Haik M, who commenced their tournament with draws, made a comeback with wins in the second round.
