5th Stepan Avagyan Memorial R7: Arjun Erigaisi stays ahead
Arjun Erigaisi drew with Bogdan-Daniel Deac (ROU) in the seventh round of 5th Stepan Avagyan Memorial 2024. The sole leader had a well contested draw against the Romania no.2. The remaining four games also ended in draws. Thus, Arjun maintains his full point lead 5/7. The defending champion - Samuel Sevian (USA), Deac and M Amin Tabatabaei (IRI) are at 4/7 each. Tabatabaei has the best chance to score a full point in this round. However, he needed to find a tough maneuver with his queen and bishop pair against his opponent's cramped queen and knights.
