The tournament will follow the FIDE Swiss System and will consist of ten intense rounds. Players will have ninety minutes with a thirty-second increment per move from the start of each game. The event kicks off with a players' meeting and an inauguration ceremony on April 10, followed by the first round in the afternoon. Subsequent rounds will take place at scheduled intervals, with a rest day and an optional blitz tournament on April 14. The final rounds will be played on April 18, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony.

Eligibility and Entry Fees

The top category is open to players rated above ELO 1900 as of April 1, 2025. Grandmasters, International Masters, Women Grandmasters, and Women International Masters receive free entry. Players from the Northeast region, specially-abled participants, and senior players above sixty years of age are eligible for a 50% discount on the entry fee. For those registering early, reduced entry fees apply. The first early bird deadline is February 15, followed by a second deadline on February 28. Standard entry fees apply until April 5, with a late fee applicable for registrations up to April 9.

To ensure a comfortable experience, all titled players will receive complimentary hotel accommodation on a double-sharing basis. Other participants can book lodging on single, double, or triple-sharing arrangements through the official accommodation team.
