One of the most exciting events of the year in a chess calendar is the National Rapid and Blitz which is held every year and players are selected from the state based on their performance in the state rapid and blitz tournaments. On the 31st of January and 1st of Feb, 2026, the Telangana Rapid Chess Championship - 2026 and Telangana Blitz Chess Championship - 2026 will be held at the Yogahall, Lalbahadur Stadium, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad - 500001.
