About Hubli Chess Academy and its 50th edition monthly chess tournament

by Dipika Joshi - 19/01/2017

Demonstrating a serious experience of conducting 49 editions of monthly chess tournament so far by Hubli Chess Academy (HCA), we will have a chance to participate in big 50th edition in April-2017, lace up your shoes and get ready! This tournament is expected to bring all the chess fraternity together in Hubli and across its nearby districts.

Shripad KV runs HCA successfully since 2001 and it is the first Chess academy in the Hubli (Dharwad District) region meant for only Chess coaching. It is dedicated to provide professional chess coaching and since then there are numerous chess coaching camps, awareness sessions, orientation classes in nearby districts, chess tournaments, assisting in organizing the events across districts like Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Davangere, Bagalkot etc. involved in making Chess from the grass root level learning across Dharwad District and entire North Karnataka region. At present it operates across 5 branches in the Hubli area.

Hubli-Dharwad are twin cities in Indian state of Karnataka. Hubli-Dharwad is the second-largest conurbation in Karnataka after Bengaluru. While Dharwad is the administrative headquarters, the city of Hubli, situated about 20 km south-east of Dharwad, is the commercial center and business hub of North Karnataka.
