Your chance to blitz out Adhiban!

by Sagar Shah - 21/04/2017

Adhiban Baskaran loves challenges! When he qualified for the Tata Steel tournament in Wijk Aan Zee he aimed big, even though he was the last seed. He managed to finish third just behind So and Carlsen. Now he has taken up another challenge - the second ChessBase India prize money blitz tournament celebrating the tenth anniversary of Kunte Chess Academy. Adhiban has confirmed his entry! This will be your chance to blitz out one of the best players in the world of chess right now!

India's newest sensation in chess is Adhiban Baskaran. The 24-year-old from Chennai made his announcement to the big stage earlier this year when he performed admirably at the Tata Steel Masters 2017 finishing third ahead of big names like Karjakin, Giri, Aronian and others!

After his success at Wijk Aan Zee we are sure to see Adhiban taking part in many more such super tournaments

Adhiban is busy working hard for the Asian Continental beginning from 11th to 22nd of May in Chengdu, China. A lot is at stake at that event as top five players qualify to the World Cup 2017. Amidst all his heavy duty preparation Adhiban has found it to be a good idea to play in the 2nd ChessBase India online prize money blitz tournament to be held on 30th of April 2017.

Talking to ChessBase India Adhiban said, "This looks like an exciting event. You get to play from the comfort of your home. You do not have to travel and there is an added incentive of prize money! I always like new challenges, so why not!"

Always ready for a new challenge

Adhiban will not have it easy as the defending champion Lalith Babu is coming back again! Lalith played in phenomenal style last time scoring 9.0/9 and winning the first prize!
