Sandhya wins Bronze at Asian Amateurs

The Iranian Chess Federation (IRCF) organized the Asian Amateur Championship 2016 in Isfahan, Iran. Naderi M Sadegh of Iran won the open section and Liu Hongyan of China won in the women's section. India's G. Sandhya brought home a bronze medal. A brief report.

Sandhya wins Bronze at Asian Amateurs

The Iranian Chess Federation (IRCF) in cooperation with Isfahan Chess Association on behalf of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) hosted the Asian Amateur Chess Championship 2016 at Isfahan in Iran.

 

Naderi M Sadegh of Iran won the open section and Liu Hongyan of China won in the women's section. India's G. Sandhya, from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh, won the bronze medal in the women's section. She was the only Indian in the field.
